ALFRISTON is an absolute delight. Nestling on the west bank of the Cuckmere River in a peaceful valley through the south downs, it' has some wonderful medieval architecture and a splendid church, known as the Cathedral of The Downs
With its famous Clergy House (the first property owned by the National Trust) and a wealth of pubs and teashops it has become a honeypot for summer visitors.
The best (and sometimes only) way to come here is on foot, following the south downs way as it twists its way through the village.
We have a couple of great bed & breakfast places here including this farm with wonderful views across the valley and just a few minutes from the centre.
