Eastbourne (home)

EASTBOURNE is a fashionable south coast resort which has fared better than some of its neighbours.
 
The eastern end of the unspoilt promenade is where the chalk cliffs climb away dramatically towards Beachy Head. This is the start of the South Downs Way National Trail.....or, of course, if you started in Winchester it is a place to celebrate nine days of glorious walking across the south downs.

To the east of Beachy Head the south downs way crosses the famous seven sisters (of which there are eight).
 
This is rated as one of the finest coastal walks in Europe...
