The New Lipchis Way is a 38 mile walking route from Liphook, on the northern borders of West Sussex, to East Head at the entrance to Chichester Harbour. It was opened by Louise Goldsmith, West Sussex County Council Cabinet Member for Finance & Resources on Saturday 23rd August 2008

Its particular attraction is that it runs north-south and thereby cuts across all the different geologies of the county giving a constantly changing scenery of flora and fauna.

Keith McKenna and Sally Dench jointly developed and waymarked the trail and it now appears on all the latest Ordnance Survey maps and is waymarked with this lovely logo, from the girls at w.s.c.c. design team

You can download a free copy of the original trail guide in PDF format by clicking here

The rather nice, original folded format is currently out of print - but the good news is that West Sussex County Council, The South Downs National Park Authority and Midhurst Town Council have all offered us grants (November 2011) to improve the waymarking and reprint the trail guide. As soon as new copies are available we'll tweet sweetly (and email).
