A Step Beyond Sussex

A step beyond Sussex

Most of the New Forest National Park is in our neighboring county of Hampshire and is less than an hour's drive from Chichester. Keith's experience of the forest goes back to the 1990's when he led the Saga Holidays walks from Lyndhurst to Brockenhurst - and he has never lost his love of this magical place. We have a guided tour planned for this autumn - as and when transport restrictions permit.
The Isle of Wight is often in sight from the South Downs and has been a Footprints playground for many years with some fond memories of walks over Tennyson Down.  You need to be on our mailing list to get details of the tours we have planned.

A step beyond
Rudyard Kipling

Choose ye your need from Thames to Tweed, And I will choose instead
Such lands as lie 'twixt Rake and Rye, Black Down and Beachy Head.

I will go out against the sun, Where the rolled scarp retires,
And the Long Man of Wilmington Looks naked toward the shires;
And east till doubling Rother crawls To find the fickle tide,
By dry and sea-forgotten walls, Our ports of stranded pride.
