South Downs Way Walking Holidays

 We've been walking the South Downs for over 30 years...

The Following Walking Holidays and Short Breaks are operated and supported by our associates at PEAR TREE TOURS
The most popular holidays are the 8 or 9 day walks along the full 100 mile South Downs Way National Trail, walking eastwards from Winchester to Eastbourne. The 6 or 7 day walks along the Original South Downs Way start from Buriton, just south of Petersfield.  You can, of course, walk the trail in the other direction but the prevailing wind is from the South West and it's a more scenic and dramatic finish coming over Beachy Head into Eastbourne.
However if you don't have time for that this year try a taster with one of our half trail or shorter break holidays, all of which are tailored to suit.
Whatever you choose, simply tell them when and for how long and we will do the rest.
Pear Tree Tours look forward very much to welcoming you personally to Sussex and the beautiful South Downs Way.

William Ward-Higgs 1907 - Sussex by the Sea

Now is the time for marching, Now let your hearts be gay, Hark to the merry bugles Sounding along our way.
So let your voices ring, my boys, And take the time from me, And I’ll sing you a song as we march along, Of Sussex by the Sea!

For We're the men from Sussex, Sussex by the Sea. We plough and sow and reap and mow, And useful men are we;
And when you go to Sussex, Whoever you may be, You may tell them all that we stand or fall
For Sussex by the Sea!
